Medalist Anthony ousted in Round of 32 at San Francisco City

Jason Anthony, the medalist and No. 1 seed at the San Francisco City Championship, was defeated by Brendon Choe on Sunday

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — After medalling at the San Francisco City Championship qualifying two weeks ago, Jason Anthony of Fairfield was ousted in the round of 32 on Sunday at Presidio Golf Club. Brendon Choe, a 15-year-old junior golfer from Orinda who will graduate from high school in 2018, knocked off the No. 1 seed on the 19th hole to move on to the final 16. Anthony defeated Daniel Hutchinson 5-and-4 on Saturday in the first round to reach the second round, where he ran into Choe. Choe will face Tommy Semereaux next Saturday.
