McCarthy takes Kenridge Invitational

Denny McCarthy is victorious at Kenridge Invitational, winning by three after two consecutive 68s.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (June 2, 2013) — Denny McCarthy fired consecutive rounds of 68 in the second and final rounds to win the Kenridge Invitational by three. First-round co-leader Steve Liebler finished in solo second place, compiling a three round total of 68-72-69. McCarthy, a native of Burtonsville, Md., is the No. 20-ranked amateur in the nation. He finished 2nd at the 2012 Porter Cup.
