Matt Fitzpatrick finishes strong at RBC Heritage

A week after missing The Masters cut, the U.S. Amateur champion finished in the Top 25 at Harbour Town

What a difference a week makes... Eight days removed from missing the cut at The Masters, amateur Matthew Fitzpatrick finished in the Top 25 at the PGA Tour's RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links. Fitzpatrick, the reigning U.S. Amateur champion, shot rounds of 71-71-69-71 to tie for 23rd place alongside 2013 RBC champ Graeme McDowell, former World No. 1 Martin Kaymer and Robert Allenby. Fitzpatrick also won low amateur honors at last year's British Amateur and recently left Northwestern University after just one semester to focus on his game full time. Stemming from his U.S. Amateur victory, Fitzpatrick will also play in this year's U.S. Open at Pinehurst.
