Mass. Open: Parziale falls in playoff

Reinstated amateur Matt Parziale took low amateur honors, falling in a 4-man aggregate playoff

WESTON, Mass. (JUne 13, 2014) -- Reinstated amateur Matt Parziale made a valiant run at the 105th Massachusetts Open but fell just short, losing in a four-man playoff. Parziale shot rounds of 70-67-74 and finished tied alongside professionals Eric Dugas, Kyle Gallo and eventual champion Ian Thimble, who prevailed after a three-hole aggregate playoff at Weston Golf Club. Alex Stimpson, a Titleist employee and former Mass. Four-Ball winner, finished one shot out of the playoff and in fifth place.
