Bob Royak (Alpharetta, Ga.) and Doug Hanzel (Savannah, Ga.) teamed up to win the Georgia Senior Four-Ball at the Sea Palms Resort. Though rain washed out the final round, their seven-shot lead would not have been in doubt.
The team of Royak and Hanzel represented a pairing of U.S. Senior champions. Hanzel won his in 2013 and Royak captured his earlier this year. At the Sea Palms Resort, they opened the tournament with a 12-under 59 which immediately put them in front by seven, a lead they maintained through a second-round 64.
For Royak, a win at the Senior 4-Ball completes the sweep of 2019 GSGA Senior Championships to go with his win at the U.S. Senior Am!
