Lions Spring Partnership: Ellis/Redfern in a Playoff

AUSTIN, TX (April 27, 2008)--Alex Ellis and Brenden Redfern won the rain-shortened Lions Spring Partnership in a playoff over two other teams, with Ellis rolling in a 15-footer for birdie on the first playoff hole. The teams of Tim Mitchell/Paul Otte and Charles Young/Eddie Podzemny finished as runners-up.

Just to get into the playoff, Ellis had to drive the 310-yard 18th hole and roll in a 10-footer for eagle.

Sunday morning storms shortened the final round to nine holes, resulting in a 27-hole tournament. The three teams who entered the playoff finished regulation play at 11-under par, with three more teams at 10-under.
