Las Po Open: Murphy is tops

LIVERMORE, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2008) -- Jeff Murphy topped the field at the Las Po Open (formerly known as the Livermore City Championship) finishing the two-day tourney at Las Positas Golf Course at 9-under 135. The CSU East Bay golfer was trailed by Les Tufteberg, who finished at 137, followed by Tenelle Gomez at 140. Jay Guerin, the reigning amateurgolf.com - Bridgestone Golf Senior Player of the Year, took the senior title at 143, five strokes better than runner-up Jim Welsh.
