When it's all said and done, the memory golf
fans remember from the 2014 Players
Championship will undoubtedly be the
amazingly-clutch 29-footer Martin Kaymer
buried on the 71st hole.
With a check totaling $1.8 million on the line,
Kaymer drilled a rolling, left-to-right putt on
TPC Sawgrass' famous 17th hole that gave
him
a lead he would ultimately hold on to with
another clutch putt on 18.
And what putter did he use?
The same putter that won him the 2010 PGA
Championship. The one he used to put the fork
in the U.S. at the 2012 Ryder Cup. The one
that, according to this week's GolfDigestix,
retailed at only $90 when it first hit the
market
back in 2009.

Martin's version is standard, with three
degrees of loft and measuring in at 35 1/2
inches.
Ping has since moved on from the model -- instead
developing the tour-proven Karsten TR Anser
2
and Anser Milled.
