Hunter Sparks wins his first Kansas Match Play with a 2 & 1 victory over Kyle Smell

LEAWOOD, Kansas ( July 24, 2011) --Hunter Sparks, a Wichita State University golfer claimed the 101st Kansas Amateur Match Play Championship at Hallbrook Country Club in Leawood. Sparks, from Oklahoma City, defeated Kansas State's Kyle Smell 2&1 in the 36-hole final match. Smell, from Overland Park, was the #1 seed in match play while Sparks was the #3 seed in match play. The win gives Sparks his second KGA championship of 2011 after he won The Railer, Kansas Stroke Play Championship in June.
