With rain forecasted for later in the day and temperatures just in the 60's Suh took the course early Saturday morning and got off to a strong start with a birdie on the opening hole to extend his lead. However, the fourth ranked player in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Rankings gave some ground back with two bogeys over the course of the next four holes.
The stretch of bogeys ultimately didn't cost all that much as the rest of the field struggled to gain crowd on the wire-to-wire winner, allowing Suh time to regain his form which he did a big way late in the tournament. Suh, a five-time winner as a junior for the Trojans, began his closing charge with a birdie on No. 8 before adding additional birdies on the 10th, 14th and 17th.
Overall for the week Suh, who posted rounds of 63-65-67-66, played the second nine in 10-under with 11 birdies and only one bogey.
Cal's Sebastian Crampton finished second at 9-under. Crampton was seven shots back after an opening round even-par 69 before shooting three consecutive 3-under 66's to close out his week.
Last weeks co-low amateur Matt Parziale earned low mid-amateur honors with an even-par week that put him in a tie for 15th while defending champion Collin Morikawa of Cal was part of a tie for 21st with a 1-over showing.
