Auburn's Michael Johnson fired an 8-under 64 and leads by three shots over 2nd-round leader Ollie Schniederjans of Georgia Tech

ATLANTA, Ga. (June 28, 2013) -- After a 40 minute weather delay at Druid Hill Golf Club on Friday, it was Michael Johnson staying focused and taking the 54-hole lead at The Dogwood Invitational. Johnson, a junior at Auburn, shot an 8-under 64 during the third round to take a three-shot lead over second-round leader Ollie Schniederjans. Johnson sits at 20-under 196. In third place is Davin White of Georgia State at 14 under and Junior Ben Griffin is at 13 under. On Thursday, Griffin shot a tournament-record 11-under 61 to take the first-round lead. Rounding out the top five are Sam Daley and Michael Garretson at 12 under. The field was cut to the top 40 and ties Friday afternoon. 46 players that shot 2-under 214 made the cut. The final round will have a split tees on Saturday starting at 8 a.m.
