Haag takes top spot at SF City Men's Championship qualifying

Randy Haag backs up an opening round 68 with a 71 to take medalist honors at the San Francisco City Men's Championship Qualifying

San Francisco, Calif (Feb. 26, 2012) -- Amateur stalwart Randy Haag will take the number one seed in his quest to capture his first San Francisco City amateur title since 1999. Haag posted rounds of 68-71--139, beating out Nicolo Galletti of Clayton (69-71--140) by a single stroke.

Daniel Faulkner of San Francisco posted a brilliant 64 for the low round of the day and finished tied for third with Michael Weaver of Berkeley (70-71--141).

The round of 32 matches get under way at Harding Park Golf Course on Saturday, March 2.
