Gray takes lead at the Palmetto Amateur

AIKEN, S.C. -- (June 9, 2012) -- Mitch Gray, Florence, S.C., carded a round of 66 today to take a two stroke lead heading into the final day of competition at the Palmetto Amateur at the historic Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, S.C. Gray made 6 birdies in the last 12 holes and stands at 4-under-par 206. Scott Wolfes, St. Simons Island, Ga., is two strokes back, 2-under-par, with rounds of 70-70-68--208 while Scott Strohmeyer, Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Matthew Atkins are joint third at 1-under-par.
