Mike McCoy closed out another title over a top field, winning a second straight George C. Thomas Invitational at Los Angeles Country Club

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 28, 2014) -- Mike McCoy closed out another title over a top field, winning a second straight George C. Thomas Invitational at Los Angeles Country Club. McCoy shot a final-round 70 to beat Brady Exber by three shots and Kris Mikkelson and Jeff Wilson by four for the overall title. Jeff Wilson, who held a two-shot lead heading into the final round, stumbled to a 76 in the final round and finished tied with Mikkelson and Burda. Exber was the Senior Champion, shooting a final-round 68 to come from behind and top Jeff Burda by a shot. The George C. Thomas Invitational is one of the nation's premier mid-amateur and senior amateur events. The format is 54 holes of stroke play. For full results, follow the link below.
