FWSGA State Match Play: Top seed prevails

KEY LARGO, Fla. (May 11, 2007)-- Mary Jane Hiestand halted the run of No. 23 seed Taffy Brower Friday at the Florida Women's State Golf Association Match Play Championship by a 5 & 4 margin in the final match. Hiestand came into the bracket as the top seed and defeated Sisi Hedges, the No. 4 seed in the semi-finals, while Brower stopped No. 27 Janice Roberts Wilson in the same round.
