Four-way tie entering final round at Ohio Amateur

ZANESVILLE, Ohio (July 9, 2015) — One round remains for Ohio’s top amateur golfers at Zanesville Country Club to decide the State Champion. Four golfers are tied at the top of the leaderboard at 4-under par: Jack Sparling of Dublin, Jonathan Feldkamp of Cincinnati, Jared Howard of Dublin, and Logan Lagodich of Canton. Sparling, a senior at Miami University, entered the third round with a one-shot lead and clearly felt some nerves at the start of his round. Sparling opened with a double-bogey seven on the first hole and followed it up with three consecutive bogeys on holes three through five to drop back to even par. To his credit, however, Sparling settled down and made four birdies and no bogeys the rest of the way for a third round 73. Sparling will be paired with Howard and Lagodich in the final group Friday which tees off at 10:10am local time.
