First round complete at Jamaica Pro-Am

San Jose Country Club of Jacksonville, Fla. combined to fire a red-hot 16-under 55 at White Witch on Day 1 of the 7th annual Jamaica Pro-Am

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica (Nov. 15, 2012) -- The team from San Jose Country Club of Jacksonville, Fla. combined to fire a red-hot 16-under 55 at White Witch on Day 1 of the 7th annual Jamaica Pro-Am. The leading group is two shots ahead of Carlisle Country Club out of Carlisle, Penn., which fired a 57 at Cinnamon Hill Golf Course. Bent Creek Country Club from Lititz, Penn. is three off the lead with a 58 at Cinnamon Hills while Blue Hills Country Club shot a 59 at White Witch. All told, 18 teams are within seven shots of the lead entering Day 2 where teams will again play at White Witch and Cinnamon Hill. The Jamaica Pro-Am is a three-day event presented by The Golf Connection. This 54-hole tournament features team (amateurs and one professional) and individual (professional) divisions with accommodations at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall.
