Eastern Amateur: 4 players tied at 64

PORTSMOUTH, Virginia (July 12, 2013) -- The first round of action at the 2013 Eastern Amateur was suspended Thursday and only 24 players were able to complete their rounds. The wet conditions allowed players to fire at pins when play resumed Friday at Elizabeth Manor Country Club though. Four players posted 64s - Jack Adkins, Adam Ball, Mike Moyers and Chris O'Neill. O'Neill is a long time member of amateurgolf.com who is a sophomore at Michigan, where he plays on the golf team. Ball plays for Virginia Commonwealth, and in late June he captured the Richmond G.A. Amateur Championship. Weather has also played a part in the suspension of play at the Players Amateur in South Carolina.
