Dixie Senior Amateur: Woulfe, Hullender take titles

Rick Woulfe and Bob Hullender prevail in tight finishes at Heron Bay

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (Dec. 14, 2008) -- Ft. Lauderdale's Rick Woulfe, the three-time defending Florida State Golf Association Senior Player of the Year, carded a final-round of 2-under-par 70 to edge Graham Cooke at the Dixie Senior Amateur, held at the Heron Bay Golf Club in Coral Springs. It was Woulfe's fourth victory at this event. Cooke, the 36-hole leader, closed with a 2-over 74 on Sunday to finish at 1-under 215, while Woulfe came in at 3-under 213. Woulfe was a former collegiate All-American at Michigan State and has 19 USGA appearances under his belt. He was the runner-up at this event last year, and notched victories at the Dale Morey and Ralph Bogart Senior Championships in 2006, giving him a third place finish at the amateurgolf.com - Bridgestone Golf Senior Player of the Year race. In the Super Senior division, Bob Hullender of San Antonio entered the day tied with Minnesota's Richard Anderson for the lead, and took a one-stroke victory when he finished with a 1-over 73.
