Defending champ Nathan Smith medalist at Penn. Match Play

Smith, a four-time U.S. Mid-Amateur champion and two-time U.S. Walker Cup team member, took the top honors in the event's match play bracket

JOHNSTOWN, Penn. (July 7, 2014) -- Defending champion Nathan Smith fired rounds of 72-67 to take medalist honors by five strokes Monday at the 11th Pennsylvania Match Play Championship at Sunnehanna Country Club. Smith, a four-time U.S. Mid-Amateur champion and two-time U.S. Walker Cup team member, took the top honors in the event's match play bracket by five shots over Patrick Ross and Arnie Cutrell, who tied for second at 4-over.
