Daughan, Matin edge past defending champions to win Women's Int'l Four-Ball

Charlotte Daughan and Sarah Matin won by a stroke at The Wanderers Club over defending champions Meghan Stasi and Tara Joy-Connelly

WELLINGTON, Fla. — After opening the Women's International Four-Ball with a three-under 69 at The Wanderers Club, Charlotte Daughan and Sarah Matin held on for a slim one-shot win over the defending champions. An even-par 72 on Tuesday was enough to put the winning trophy in their hands. Meghan Stasi and Tara Joy-Connelly, who were looking to win in back-to-back years, lost by a shot, shooting 70-72 to take second place by a stroke over Sherry Herman and Debbie Adams. Herman and Adams fought back with a 69 on Tuesday to crack the top-three. The duo opening with 74. The top three teams were the only pairs to break par for 36 holes.
