HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Graduated senior Colin Monagle of Jacksonville University is one of three leaders tied at the top of the 4th annual Magnolia Amateur thanks to a second-round 66.
Playing Hattiesburg Country Club, Monagle, along with Luke Kwon of the University of Oklahoma and Parks Brown of Gainesville, Fla., are deadlocked at seven-under 137 after Saturday's round.
Monagle, a native of Jacksonville, had the lowest round of the trio while Kwon fired 67 and Brown a 68.
First-round leader Bryce Alley, a junior at the University of Texas-San Antonio, posted even-par 72 in the second round and is one of three players tied for fourth place at five-under 139. Alley led by one after a tough scoring Friday.
Also at five-under are Chris Baker and Hayes Weathersby, who both fired 67 on day two.
The 54-hole tournament will conclude Sunday.
