Charlie Woods, the event’s defending champion, won the 2-day, 36-hole major tournament by 8 strokes.
In round two, Woods followed with a 1-under par score of 71, including a run of 5 birdies in a 7-hole stretch to seal the victory over Winter Park, FL’s Noah Manly, who shot 77-74 (151) and finished 2nd.
At a course length of 6,665 yards, both HJGT boys 14–15 and boys 16-18 divisions competed from the same tees.
The win marked Woods’ second victory in four events thus far in his 2023 Hurricane Tour season. In February, Woods captured the HJGT South Florida Junior Open title. Last season, he notched two additional victories on the Hurricane Tour, including the same Major Championship at Village GC, where he shot 1-over par 145 as a 13-year-old.
Jupiter, FL’s Grace Carter won the girls 16-18 division title with a score of 76-80 (156). Stuart, FL’s Reese Woodbury shot 75-77 (152) to win the boys 16-18 championship.
