Canterbury Cup: Defending Champs in Position

Defending champs Hank Schlissberg and Scott Ross lead by one heading into the aggregate final round

CLEVELAND, Ohio (Aug. 26, 2014) -- Hank Schlissberg and Scott Ross are in position to do it again at the Canterbury Cup. Last year, the duo combined to shoot rounds of 71-69-149--289 in the unique three day event, where the last round is played in the grueling "count both" two man format. Standing at 137, they are three ahead of last year's pace in the team format portion of the event, and they have a one stroke lead over Bucholz and Blythe. The next teams back are 5 behind the leader, but in an aggregate final round big swings are common. Last year, Schlissberg and Scott shot a very solid 149 combined on the final day.
