Cal leads at Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters

The Bears lead by one over UNLV. Logan McCracken leads individual with a 66

LAS VEGAS, Nev (Mar. 9, 2012) -- After round one of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters, Cal leads by one over host team UNLV with a 2-under par 286. Texas A&M holds third with a 288 and UCLA is in fourth at 291. The low round of the day was shot by Logan McCracken, a sophomore at Texas Tech, with a 66. McCracken had 6 birdies and an eagle in his round. Tyler Dunlop of Texas A&M and Bobby Wyatt of Alabama are in second at 68. Cal is on track to set a team record of four victories in one season. Play continues through Sunday at the Southern Highlands Golf Club.
