Burns Intercollegiate: Cal maintains four stroke lead

The Cal Bears are the second round leaders. Sam Fidone and Julian Suri lead at 135

KAHUKU, Hawaii (Feb. 17, 2012) -- The Cal Bears are still in the lead after the second round of the John Burns Intercollegiate played at the Arnold Palmer Course at the Turtle Bay Resort. Lead by Joel Statler and Max Homa who both shot 137 (66-71), the Bears lead by four at 556 (270-286.) SMU moved up the leaderboard with fine play by Sam Fidone who is at 135 (68-67). Fidone is currently tied for the lead with first round leader Julian Suri of Duke who shot 65-70. SMU is at 560 (282-278.) New Mexico who started the day in second place at 274 has moved into third and sits at 566 after a second round 292. The third and final round will be completed on Friday.
