British Open Low Amateur: Chesters takes honors as 4 ams miss cut

HOYLAKE, England (July 18, 2014) -- The damage done by the rugged conditions and terrain at Royal Liverpool wasn't limited to tour pros. The four amateurs in the field at the 2014 Open Championship endured their own struggles. Amateurs Ashley Chesters (3-over), Cheng-Tsung Pan (4-over), Paul Dunne (4-over) and Bradley Neil (11-over) all missed the weekend cut at Royal Liverpool. Chesters turned in a solid effort in Round 1 with a 2-under 70 and that helped secure him low amateur honors amongst the small group.
