Portrush, County Antrim, Ireland (June 18, 2014) -- England's Daniel Brown shot 66-67 to take medalist honors and the No. 1 seed at the 2014 British Amateur at Royal Portbrush. Brown cleared the second-place finishers, Ashton Turne and Renato Paratore, by four shots and will be the top seed when match play begins Thursday. Paratore, from Italy, carded a second-round 66 to slide into the third seed while Turner, who hails from England, shot 70-67 to take the No. 2 seed. USA's Brandon Hagy, who excelled at Cal and will play on the U.S. Palmer Cup squad next week, shot 69-70 to finish tied for sixth place during stroke-play qualifying.
