Driscoll made six birdies and two bogeys on his first hole, No. 10, and his last hole, No. 9.
Driscoll birdied Holes No. 3, 4, 6, and 8 to race up the leaderboard and shoot a 33 on his second nine of the day.
Driscoll's teammate, Manuel Lozada, shot a 3-under 69 to sit in solo second place after the first round.
Lozada recorded a hole-in-one on No. 13, pacing the way for his round of 69. The rest of his round was uneventful, making two birdies and one bogey.

In the team competition, Arkansas leads by nine shots and sits at 9-under. They were the only team to shoot under par.
Mississippi State is in solo second place at even par, and Kentucky is in solo third place at 5-over.
