No team went under par on Saturday at the par-70 Olympia Fields (Ill.) Country Club, but Baylor’s team total was a 1-over 281. That was two shots better than the team’s first-round effort. For the tournament, they stand at 4 over, one shot better than Georgia Tech.
Dossey’s second-round 70 left him at 2 under, one shot behind Oklahoma State’s Austin Eckroat. (Eckroat’s team, meanwhile, climbed four spots on the leaderboard from 14th to 10th.)
The Yellow Jackets backed up to a 7-over 287 on Saturday after having gone 2 under as a team. Ogletree also had a second-round 70 and is part of a four-way tie for third at 1 under that also includes Pepperdine freshman William Mouw, Florida State’s Jamie Li and Ogletree’s Walker Cup teammate Cole Hammer, a Texas sophomore.
Both Baylor and Georgia Tech enter this week’s event after having won their season opener. For Baylor, that was the Gopher Invitational in Minnesota.
