3 share lead at Ohio State Amateur

CINCINNATI, Ohio (July 8, 2014) -- Peter Samborsky, Christopher Sloan and Clark Engle all shot 2-under 69 and share the lead after the first round at the 2014 Ohio Amateur Championship. The trio navigated the par-71 Coldstream Country Club easily and share a one-shot lead over Michael Ricaurte, Ryan Troyer and Tim Couch, who all shot 1-under 70. The field will be cut to the low 64 following Wednesday's second round ahead of the start of match play. Recent U.S. Open participants Andrew Dorn and Will Grimmer are both tied for 10th after Round 1 72s. Dorn, who plays at Coastal Carolina, is the event's defending champion.
