At New Bedford CC, a golfer was playing in his Saturday game when missed a putt on the 18th hole and sensed something was wrong

Titleist has long been known as a golf ball empire, producers of revolutionary balls like the ProV1 and ProV1x.

AmateurGolf.com recently took a tour of the Titleist Ball Plant 3 in New Bedford, Mass., and saw the process of producing these balls from start to finish.

Along the way, we heard the story of how the Titleist empire started way back in 1932 with a single missed putt in a friendly Saturday game at a local country club. Watch the video below:
