2016 U.S. Mid-Amateur Qualifying Results

Qualifying has wrapped up for the 2016 U.S. Mid-Amateur, scheduled for September 10-15 at Stonewall Links in Elverson, PA

(August 22, 2016) -- The best amateurs over the age of 25 have concluded 18-hole sectional qualifying for the 2016 U.S. Mid- Amateur, being held this year at Stonewall Links in Elverson, PA from September 10-15.

Sammy Schmitz will be looking to defend his title from a year ago when he defeated Marc Dull 3&2. Since winning his first U.S. Mid-Amateur Schmitz, from Farmington, MN, has played in the Masters and also the U.S. Amateur.

Schmitz will face one of the strongest fields in tournament history on September 10 with all qualifiers and exempt players playing 36-holes to determine the top 64 for match play.
