2008 World Junior Golf Team Selected

NORMAN, Okla. (May 14, 2008)--Bud Cauley of Jacksonville, Fla., Wesley Graham of Port Orange, Fla., Cody Gribble of Dallas, Texas, and Gregor Main of Danville, Calif., will represent their country in the 2008 World Junior Golf Team Championship June 18-21 in Toyota City, Japan. Coaching Team USA will be Brian White of Lamar University. The Americans are looking to regain the title after winning the championship in 2004 and 2005. This year’s event will take place at the Chukyo Golf Club - the same location that has hosted the tournament the previous three years. Cauley, an Alabama signee, is a 2006 and 2007 First-Team AJGA Rolex All-American. The 2006 Junior Ryder Cup team member finished runner-up in the 2007 Verizon Junior Heritage and won the 2008 Terra Cotta Invitational. “I’m really looking forward to it so hopefully we can go over there and get the championship,” Cauley said. Graham reached the semifinals of the 2007 U.S. Junior. The two-time AJGA Rolex All-American won the Florida State Championship in both 2004 and 2005. “I realize it’s something most people don’t get to do and I think it will be a really cool experience,” the Florida State signee said. Gribble, a two-time Canon Cup participant, is a 2006 and 2007 AJGA Rolex All-American. He won the 2007 Byron Nelson Junior as well as the 2007 Western Junior Am. “Representing the United States is unbelievable. Honestly, I just want to go out there and play well,” said Gribble, who has committed to play at Texas. “It’s the best feeling in the world.” Main, another two-time AJGA Rolex All American, was a 2006 Canon Cup Participant. He won the both the 2007 FCWT @ Coyote Creek and the 2007 AJGA PING Invitational. Main has signed with UCLA. “Having represented the country before, I know it’s a great feeling and I can’t wait,” Main said. “We have a very talented team,” said Team USA and Lamar University head coach Brian White. “If we play our best, we’ll have a great shot at winning.”
