Callaway launches Chrome Soft Truvis Pink; donates to cause

With the launch of its new Chrome Soft Truvis Pink golf ball, Callaway Golf is helping in the fight against breast cancer. The new ball's debut coincides with breast cancer awareness month. In addition to launching an improved ball in a color now synonymous with that cause, Callaway has also announced it will make a donation to the Morgan Pressel Foundation to aid and support patient care and research in the fight against breast cancer.

On the outside, the pink and white Truvis pattern is eye-catching. In terms of performance, the Truvis Pink model is a fast ball with a soft feeling. Callaway calls the golf ball “better to its core.”

Truly, a new Graphene-infused Dual Soft Fast Core – with a new, larger inner core – promotes a high launch and low spin off the tee for better distance while still allowing for shot-stopping spin around the green.

The soft feel is a result of a SubMantle, soft Tour Urethane cover and a low-compression core. A softer golf ball compresses easier on off-center hits which creates more forgiveness.

Science aside, Callaway’s support of breast cancer awareness as well as the work of one of its brand ambassadors is worth noting. Pressel lost her mother to breast cancer at an early age, and over the past 11 years, the two-time LPGA winner has focused her energy on raising funds and awareness for the disease. Since its creation, her foundation has raised more than $5 million to support patient care and research toward a cure.
