BROKEN ARROW, Okla (June 27, 2013) — The Senior State Amateur is complete.
Congratulations to Kirk Wright who defeated 2 time defending champ Mike Hughett in 19 holes for the title. The tournament was played June 24-27 at the Golf Club of Oklahoma in Broken Arrow. The OGA would like to thank Bobby Hadden, the members and staff of the Golf Club of Oklahoma for a truly outstanding tournament.
Wright birdied three of his last six holes, but bogeyed the par-five 18th to help Hughett force extra holes. Hughett then bogeyed the 19th hole to give Wright the championship.
