Women's Western Am: Liu keeps rolling

By Jack Persons LANCASTER, Penn. (June 27, 2014) -- Medalist Mika Liu won both her quarterfinal and semifinal matches on Friday at the Western Women’s Amateur at Lancaster Country Club. Liu, a 15-year-old from California, defeated Sirene Blair of Utah 3&2 in the quarterfinals and then took out Josee Doyon of Canada 3&2 to secure her spot in the finals. Liu will face Cammie Gray in the finals on Saturday, who won 3&2 in the quarterfinals against Emmy Martin, and defeated Delaney Howson of Canada 1-up in the afternoon semifinals. The 36-hole final will be contested on Saturday, starting at 7:30 am. Results can be viewed below.
