Women's Eastern Amateur: Theiss, Austin, Sealy co-leaders

SOUTHPORT, N.C. (June 11, 2014) -- Alexandra Austin, Monica Sealy and Meaghan Theiss all shot 71s on Wednesday and shot into a tie for the lead at the 2014 Women's Eastern Amateur at The Founders Club at St. James Plantation. The trio trailed first-round co-leaders Brianna Mao and Kaitlyn Price by four entering the day's action but turned it around to forge a tie atop the leaderboard. Mao and Price slid to a tie for fourth place along with Lori Beth Adams. Taylor Paige Lyle is seventh, sitting three shots back while a group of eight players, including rising French amateur Shannon Aubert, are tied for eighth. Thursday will complete the event as the the third and final round is played.
