Wilson, Buckley, Shih tied for Ike lead

Max Buckley and Cameron Wilson, two of the top players anywhere, sit tied alongside Harrison Shih at the top of the scoreboard

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (June 24, 2013) -- Looking more like an elite summer invitational than a regional association championship, the leaderboard is full at the Ike. Max Buckley and Cameron Wilson, two of the top players anywhere, sit tied alongside Harrison Shih at the top of the scoreboard after one round of play at Wykagyl Country Club. The trio shot impressive rounds of 3-under 69. Buckley is a former Southern Methodist golfer and recent winner of the New York City Amateur. Wilson, of course, is a start golfer from Stanford and tied for fifth at last week's Northeast Amateur. Shih recently finished his freshman year at Columbia. The trio leads another trio tied for fourth place just one shot back. Mark henderson, Matt Mattare and Ryan McCormick all shot 2-under 70 in Round 1. Walker Cup hopeful Mike Miller, Stu Kaufman and Greg Rohlf are all tied for seventh at 1-under. Round 2 of the 54-hole championship continues Tuesday.
