Wild weekend at the Sacramento Men's Four-Ball

The team of James Watt and Russell Humphrey grab medalist honors and win in the first round of match play at the Sacramento City Four-Ball Championship

Sacramento, Calif. (March 19, 2012) -- It was a wild weekend of four-ball action at the Bing Maloney Golf Course for the Sacramento City Men's Regional Four-ball Championship. In Saturday's qualifying, James Watt watched his partner Russell Humphrey post a blistering 64 on his own ball to put the team in the medalist position. The cut was at 70, which forced a 6-way playoff where the team of David Baskin and Josh Baskin prevailed. The bad news for them was that they would have to face Watt and Humphrey in the first round, and the number one seeds prevailed with a 2 and 1 win. Other highlights included a hole-in-one from James Watt on No.3 and five matches going to the 18th hole or beyond. Play resumes next weekend for round of 16 and the quarterfinals on Saturday and the Semis and Finals on Sunday.
