STATE COLLEGE, Penn. (June 17, 2014) -- Trent Karlik fired a final-round 71 to secure the 114th Western Pennsylvania Amateur Championship at Penn State. Karlik led entering the final round on the strength of his 69-66 start on Day 1 and kept pace with the field to finish four shots up and the owner of one of the nation's oldest regional championships. The field plays 36 holes on the first day of play before its cut to the low 36 players and ties for the final round. Arnold Cutrell, who led early on Monday, shot 66-72-72 to finish alone in second place. Ronald Denuzio was third, shooting 70-71-70.
