Watkins, Woo take the Sacramento County Four-Ball

Matthew Watkins and Nick Woo won the final match in winds gusting as high as 35 mph

The 2019 Sacramento County Men’s Four-Ball Championship was played at Mather Golf Course on October 19-20 and October 26-27, 2019. Matthew Watkins and Nick Woo won the championship in the final match against runners-up Zach Liberatore and his father Paul Liberatore. The final match was all square through the 11th hole. The Liberatores went 1 up with a birdie on the 12th hole. Woo evened the match on the par three 14th hole with a par. On the par five 16th, Watkins made eagle, holing an eight putt, to go 1 up and then closed out the match with a par on the difficult 17th hole to post a 2 & 1 victory. Conditions were brutal for the match play finals with sustained winds at 20 mph and gusts as high as 35 mph.
