Washington Champions: Haack wins 2nd straight

Mike Haack took home the top prize in the fifth annual WSGA Champion of Champions event, successfully defending his title from last year

BELLEVUE, Wash. (April 23, 2014) -- It's no wonder The Home Course was host to the event honoring the Washington State Golf Association's champions this season. Mike Haack took home the top prize in the fifth annual WSGA Champion of Champions event, successfully defending his title from last year. Haack shot 2-under 70 in Wednesday's final round and won by two shots over Bjorn Bjorke, Sandy Vaughan and Dave Bates, who all tied for second place. Keith Crimp was the only player under par in the Senior Division, finishing 74-68 for a two-shot win over runner-up Tom Brandes. In the Women's Division, Leslie Folsom shot 79-74 to prevail by six shots while Lisa Smego took the Senior Women's Division by six shots over Lorna Martinson.
