PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. (Nov. 6, 2025) — Villanova capped its fall season in style by winning the Big Five Championship at The 1912 Club, edging Drexel by a single stroke in a one-round shootout among Philadelphia’s Division I programs.
Wildcat standout Matt Zerfass led the way individually with a one-under 71, the only score in red figures, to claim medalist honors. The steady junior paced Villanova’s balanced lineup that also included Vibhav Alokam (+3), Ryan Pamer (+5), and Brockton English (+6).
Drexel’s Thomas Young finished runner-up at even par, while a crowded group at +2 featured Jake Naese (Temple), Noah Moelter (Saint Joseph’s), Jacob Haberstumpf (Drexel), and Payton Hawke (La Salle).
