Host Fran Charles was joined by the USGA's Mike Trostel to discuss the championship titles

(March 17, 2017) -- Of course March 17 is the birthday of the great Bobby Jones and to celebrate the USGA released its latest episode of The 9 which remembers the nine USGA championships that Jones won during his career. Host Fran Charles was joined by the USGA's Mike Trostel to discuss the championship titles. During his playing career, Jones a lawyer by trade, won the U.S. Open four-times (1923, 1926, 1929, 1930) and the U.S. Amateur five-times (1924, 1925, 1927, 1928, 1930). A member of the World Golf Hall of Fame Jones among other victories also won the British Open three-times (1926, 1927, 1930) and the British Amateur once (1930).
