SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (March 10, 2013) -- Gary Vanier halted Jim Williams' try for a second straight title at the 2013 San Francisco City Senior Championship with a dominating 7-and-5 victory in Sunday's championship match. Vanier, the tournament's No. 2 seed, dispatched of Ken Noonan in Saturday's semifinal, 8-and-7, and continued his momentum throughout Sunday's finale. Williams, who earned the top seed by way of his 2012 title, had cruised through match play before facing Vanier. It's Vanier's second Senior title. He last won in 2009.
