SYRACUSE, Utah (May 24, 2011) -- The UGA Senior Match Play championship moves into first round matches Wednesday at Glen Eagle Golf Course with defending champion Todd Barker facing Karl Avant in the opening match.
The qualifying round was delayed by two hours because of rain and wet conditions, but it turned into a beautiful day. Rick Lloyd posted the best qualifying score with a 70, followed by Rob Bachman at 71.
The competition also includes a Super Senior Division and a Net Division. Rich Gibbons was the medalist in the Super Senior Division and will face Arlen Peacock in the first round. Defending Super Senior champion Dick Peacock will face Bob Motzkus.
