U.S. Senior Open: Wilson T29, McCoy T33 entering final round

San Francisco-area amateur Jeff Wilson shot a third-round 73 and remains inside the Top 30 at the 2014 U.S. Senior Open at Oak Tree National

EDMOND, Okla. (July 12, 2014) -- San Francisco-area amateur Jeff Wilson shot a third-round 73 and remains inside the Top 30 at the 2014 U.S. Senior Open at Oak Tree National. Wilson, who has played extremely well in USGA events in the past, including the 2010 U.S. Amateur, which he took stroke-play medalist honors, carded rounds of 70-76 during the first two days of action and joined Mike McCoy as the two amateurs to make the weekend cut. Wilson, who sits at 6-over for the tournament, is tied alongside Joe Durant, Steve Pate and Chris Williams and will tee off at 10:20 a.m. Sunday. McCoy, the 2014 U.S. Mid-Amateur Champion, shot 72 on Saturday to go along with rounds of 74-74 during the first two days of action and is tied for 33rd.
