U.S. Senior Challenge: Whitney, McMullen lead

Jerry McMullen of Indiana and Arizona's Cyrus Whitney fired identical second-round 70s and are co-leaders entering the final round of play

SIMPSONVILLE, Kent. (June 19, 2013) -- Jerry McMullen of Indiana and Arizona's Cyrus Whitney fired identical second-round 70s and are co-leaders entering the final round of play at the 2013 U.S. Senior Challenge at The Cardinal Club. Both players trailed first-round leader Mac McGee (66-77) after Round 1 on Tuesday. When McGee struggled, Wednesday the door was open for Whitney and McMullen. McGee is alone in third place while Happy Rakestraw of Kentucky sits in fourth place after rounds of 73-71. Dan Smith, who was in second place after a first-round 69, sits tied for fifth after a second-round 77.
