Trevor Clayton continues hot play with LasPo Open win

Coming off a win at the NCGA Valley Amateur, Trevor Clayton shot 68-67 to win the LasPo Open in Livermore

LIVERMORE, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2014) — Trevor Clayton, a junior at California State University-Stanislaus and native of Clovis, Calif., continued his victory run with a five-shot win at the LasPo Open on Sunday. Clayton, who won last week's NCGA Valley Amateur, shot 68-67 to win by five shots at Las Positas Golf Course. Finishing in second place was one of four first-round co-leaders, Jeremy Sanchez. Clayton and Sanchez, along with John Rosendahl and Tyler Archer, all shot four-under 68 on the 6,700 course on Saturday to share a two-shot lead. Sanchez shot 72 to finish in a tie for second place with Pedro Oviedo-Jimenez at 140 while Rosendahl dropped back to a tie for fifth after a Sunday 75. Archer shot 77 and fell into a tie for ninth place.
